We hath finished the South Downs Way! YEAH!

I believe that there is a group of people, let  us call them the Showerists, who, every week, gather and come up with obscene shower-head designs. Or something like that. I have seen so many different shower-head designs over my month here. Most have been OK, but some have been traumatising.

I suppose I should do the TEN TOP THINGS ABOUT THE SOUTH DOWN WAY

  1. The lovely views
  2. The breakfast at the B&B's
  3. The lunch/dinners we had at Public Houses
  4. The scintillating conversation
  5. The weather didn't commit mutiny
  6. The crazy people we could laugh at once they passed us
  7. It was nice to see all the NZ weeds in their natural habitat
  8. Going downhill
  9. All the animals!
  10. OK! Fine! The walking was not a death sentence, I suppose
About No. 6. We used the 200m rule. The 200m rule is you wait until someone is 200m away until you start commenting about them.

Eastbourne

Oh! I didn't tell you we were staying in Eastbourne? Nope. Oh. Whoops. Well, we went shopping today. Yaaaay!

  1. Kate, let your dad know that he's looking like a slightly grizzled Tintin--but much more handsome, of course!

  2. Hi Kate, Thomas here. I am glad to see that you somewhat enjoying your six week holiday. Our holidays in Singapore end today and tomorrow we have school. By the way did Grandma share with you her experience here?(Ask her if she hasn't) Uncle Matt and Auntie Thirza left a week ago too after a two week stay(part of it in some unfortunate hazardous haze) and now all of us are looking forward to your visit(and hopefully no homework when you come though no homework days are hard to come by here).Wish you a pleasant holiday.

    1. Oh no! School? Poor you and all the others. Granny didn't share her experiences, but I will ask her as soon as the opportunity presents itself. I heard about the haze, and I felt very sorry for you all. And the rain-forests, of course. I, too, hope there is no homework, and I will work it off now. We have hardly any homework in NZ, so I can only *sympathise* (inside joke, involving a hour long lesson). I wish you a pleasant time at school (and around in general). I say hi to everyone!

  3. So you heard about the haze too. For your info Indonesia burns the rainforest to grow palm oil. Palm oil is used as biofuel, in cooking oil, choclates, instant noodles, shampoos,make-up and so much more! Too bad they have to burn trees to grow the palm trees though there are probably better methods.
