The Canal-Day Nine

Evesham to Pershore

Overview:

-We got up
-We had ontbyt
-We stopped for lunch
-We started again
-We moored for the night
-We went for a walk
-We had dinner

Highlights

- Pub Lunch in Evesham. I ate lots and lots! Potatoes and carrots and cabbage and parsnip and Yorkshire Pudding and roast beef! But, really, it sounds like a lot, but it wasn't! And then I had pudding, real pudding. That was probably the biggest part of the meal.
-Sweet Shop in Pershore. It was a small sweet shop, but it had lots of sweets. It was like a traditional sweet shop. It was just shelves and shelves of sweets behind the counter. It was in the jars, as well. But, on the inside of the window, like a display, were a couple of the most obscenely named sweets, like Fart Sweets, Cheesy Feet Sweets and Garlic Sweets. Jack, like the barbarian he is, got Fart Sweets, whereas I, who, on the other hand, am not a barbarian, got the more civilized Strawberry and Cream.
-The completely crazy name of a town we passed. Wyre Piddle. Said wire piddle. Who would name a town that? Imagine someone sending you a post card, or you sending them on:

To: Mary Smith
42 Pussy Street
Wyre Piddle, England
Post Code: HF6OK

Or:

From: Bob O'Brian
27 Fluffy Little Cat Street
Wyre Piddle, England
Post Code: AY3KM

-The equally odd name of the island next to Wyre Piddle: Tiddle Widdle Island. Wyre Piddle is one thing, but this is ridiculous. Can you imagine birthday invitations?

Harry Potter invites Ginny Weasly to his 47th birthday.
