The Canal-Day Eleven


Teweksbury to Worcester

Overview

-We got up
-We had matenmanĝo
-We stopped for lunch
-We started again
-We moored for the night
-We went for a walk
-We had dinner

Some of you may be noticing that the days seem quite alike. That is because they are. And now no one is leaving comments, or not many. And dad says I should stop the

so can you voice your opinion? Yes! That is it! You have a petition ready? Good! We shall win this one!

Highlights


-A huuuuuge automatic lock! By huge, I mean huge! No, not that small. Nope, even bigger.  From about, ooooh, here *points* to I think... heeere *points*. 
Arghh! No, silly person at the back! Not as big as the Eiffel Tower! Gosh! You page viewers here. Never know what they,re saying. Really, it was 7 metres tall. *shakes head*
-I can't think of any. I saw loads of swans, pigeons and ducks, though. THEY ARE SO CUTE! (not our photo).


-I have decided to start a English Paint Company. I would call it 
The Royal English Sky Paint Shop-For All Your Painting Needs
I am sure it would be a great hit. My star colours would be:
English Sky Grey
Double English Sky Grey
Triple English Sky Grey
Rainy Day English Sky Grey
England's skies are pretty grey





The crew are on the foredeck doing the lines out of sight.

    Am loving the blow-by-blow action, Kate! And you're extending my language skills with the variety of breakfasts--don't listen to your dad (on that point ;)!

    Have to say/write that I'm not a big fan of your darling swans--had too many attack me when rowing on the Cam in Cambridge--some very nasty stories I can relate to you sometime...

    And those Canadian Geese are a pain in the derriere. (Now I'm starting to sound like my brother...!)

    Is granny steering the boat in some photos or does the captain do that from the bridge? I would like the captain to report seriously on the state of the river water.Is it tested for sediments, nitrates, phosphates,and coliforms as we would here?

      Dad says if the river is not actually on *fire*, they think it is in good condition
