I was tired!!! I'm innocent!!! Don't hurt me!!! Right, now that we have settled on that problem, can I tell you what I did? No? Well, that is just too bad. I will tell you anyway.
The plan was to go to Kew Gardens (why would you name a garden after a letter? I mean, Q Gardens? I suppose Kew does look better, but still) so we did just that. The day was hot, so, of course, I had put on jeans and a long sleeved top. Kew Gardens is huge. Or, at least, it looks like that on the map. I reality, it is pretty small. Either that or it is mapped wrong. It looks huge on the map!!! Well, first we went to the 'Palm House Parterre'. Opposite that was 'Pineapple Island'. Then, we walked along the 'Syon Vista' to the 'Bamboo Garden' were the 'Minka House' was. Then, we walked through 'Rhododendron Dell', passed 'Queen Anne's Cottage' to the life-size 'Badger Sett'. I promptly banged my head multiple times, so now it hurts when I brush my hair. We walked through the 'Pinetum' to 'Waterlily Pond'. It was actually really pretty. We walked through 'Cedar Vista' (HI CEDAR!!! I AM RANDOMLY SHOUTING OUT TO YOU!!!) and through the 'Woodland Glade' until we reached the 'Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway'. We climbed up the steps (there was tons of them!) and finally reached the top. It was a nice view, and I could see a lot, like the 'Compost Heap' and the 'Sackler Crossing'. Then we went to the 'Glasshouse Walkway', which was full of jungle plants that were not meant to be there. On the way out we went to the 'Temple of Bellona' (you know, the Roman goddess?) and exited through 'Victoria Gate'. Then we got onto the underground, exited at Oxford Street and passed miles and miles of tat shops. Mum got a replacement bag, then, wait for it... Went to Hamley's!!! As we entered there was a weird guy in a princess tiara with a wand (I am talking about a boy here!). That was really odd. We went to the top story, and there was Kate (Duchess of Cambridge I think) And William... Made entirely out of Lego. I also got shot by another store worker with a Nerf Gun. After all that, we went home, and I went to sleep (Yay! Sleep!)
The End.
P.S How was Cross Country???Who won???
P.P.S. All of the names from things in Kew were completely true, OK? I didn't make a single one up!!!
I am starting to get the hang of these blog things. Loving your descriptions. I am still laughing about the men and their pinstripe suits and the Greek statues. The extra guns you heard at the changing of the guard might have been because it is the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen's accession to the throne.
ReplyDeleteWe thought that might be the case!!! :)
